Importance and Virtues of Surah Yaseen

The Holy Quran is the fourth and final heavenly book of ALLAH that He revealed upon His Last and final Messenger, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). It carries guidelines and teachings that act as great source of explanation and instruction in various aspects of life.

Surah Yaseen is one of the noblest Surah of the holy Quran and Muslims all around the world memorize it, read, and listen to its recitation with great respect and blessedness. There is a purpose behind the better prestige of Surah Yaseen as it is stated by our holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in His many hadiths involving numerous benefits of its recitation. Blessing Virtues of Surah Yasin

There are many benefits and virtues of reciting Surah Yasin if we read and apply it in our daily lives.some of them are;

  • Be forgiven

Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said,
مَنْ قَرَأَ يس فِي لَيْلَةٍ أَصْبَحَ مَغْفُورًا لَهُ
‘Whoever recites Yaseen in the night, he will rise in the morning as one forgiven by Allah.

  • For The Dying Person: “Recite Yaseen on those who are dying.” (Dawud)
  • Get the calmness of heart

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
Undoubtedly, the heart gets rusted like metal gets rusted when water goes over it”. The People asked, “How can they [hearts] be cleaned.” The Prophet replied, “To remember death in abundance and to recite the Holy Quran.” (Mishkat)
